She is the goddess of virginity, the hunt, the moon, and the natural environment. Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto. Her twin brother is Apollo. She is the lady of the wild things. She is the huntsman of the gods and protector of the young. Like Apollo she hunts with silver arrows. The cypress is her tree and she is one of the most venerated goddess and one of the most ancient.
